Most importantly, do what feels right for you. It's most important that you create content that is helpful to your audience and on-brand. If a trend works for your business and you want to participate, great! Creating trending content should be something that's fun, not something that's exhausting you or taking away from essential tasks. □ Don't worry about jumping on every trend. Challenge yourself to schedule just a few days out at a time, then work your way up to a week in advance, two weeks, and so on. Cross social media off your to-do list in advance by scheduling your content out. Don't let social media tangle you into its web each and every day. You can't expect every post on social media to perform well, no matter how much time and effort you put into it so it's okay to try something new like creating your own Instagram graphics or trying the green screen feature to elevate your TikTok videos. □ Practice is the only way to get comfortable with content creation. Start small with a mini challenge like how many Instagram captions can you write in 30 minutes or how many TikToks can you film in an hour and build from there. It's the oldest piece of advice in the book, but it's the best way to avoid having social media be the vampire that sucks away all your free time. If you had time to film three videos today, spread them out, don't post them three days in a row then go ghost on social media for another four weeks. Showing up regularly on social media will prove more beneficial in the long run than showing up in spurts. Social media doesn't need to be spooky □ We never want social media to be the burden of your business and if it's feeling like more tricks than treats right now, here are a few ways to make social media feel a little less scary.
